In the Foothills with Ally

We promised Ally that we would take her some place this weekend. She was such a good girl that I didn't have the heart to break our promise so I took her for a walk in the foothills. I am glad that I did that because it was relaxing to snap off some pictures. When I made it up the hill I was surprised to see that there was a fire. I needed to get out of the house and I felt so relaxed after our adventure. I really just love all of the color contrasts.

Teething, Already!??

Yesterday was so perfect. Willy napped with Cole a bit and then we all went out to dinner. Cole is such a good baby. We ate outside at the Bungalow and enjoyed the lights on the trees, the people walking on the street and each other. It was a very nice dinner.

Another thing that is so great about Boise is our new neighbors. I was looking for Willy in the backyard and he was no where to be found. He was MIA for about 2 hours and when he finally comes home, he brings a neighbor to meet me bearing 2 jars of home made preserves (strawberry and huckleberry). They were delicious and we ate it on the loaf of home made fresh bread that another neighbor brought us! We are invited to dinners and at least 2 parties! Can you believe it here!?? If you don't ask Mom, she is our witness! I will have to get on my baking game! By the way, while Willy was gone, the neighbors were feeding him apricots off of their tree and trying to get him to join the guard or ride 4 wheelers with a little kid.

That is just a blurb about our neighbors... The kindnesses of the people Willy works with is a whole other post.

I hope that we get to live here for a long time...

Mom's 1st visit to see CMCD!

Mom and Randall are here visiting us and our little baby. We are pretty much just hanging out together and it is very nice. I LOVE having a grandma around. I cannot believe what a difference it makes. Too bad it is just a visit...

The Cat in the Hat

This is very quickly becoming a blog about babies! We will have to get lives soon to mix it up a bit!

Anyways, I read Cole The Cat in the Hat even though I thought that he was a little too young to enjoy it because he can be squirmy after he eats. I was way wrong because after he shifted himself in a comfy position in my arms to stare up at my face, I began to read to him in a funny voice. After every stanza, I looked down at him and he was smiling so big. It was so funny. I had so much fun reading to him. I ordered more Dr. Suess books because they are so great.

I ordered Wocket in my Pocket (Willy siads that sounds gross), Hop on Pop and One Fish, Two Fish...

He makes me so happy!
