Backyard snowboarding...

It has been snowing a bit lately and I managed to pile up enough snow to make a nice little drop jump off the rocks. I piled up about 15 recycling bins worth of snow for the run/jump/landing. Marisa came out and decided that it wasn't big enough and added more snow to the jump. It was actually a lot more fun then. Hopefully I will be ready for the mountain soon!

The jump is way to small... don't worry I'll add more snow!

This looks better...

Thanks Honey!!!

Decorating the Tree

Bogus Basin

Friday, we decided to go wandering around Bogus Basin for a little bit. I love the drive there and I thought it would be nice for Ally to run around in some snow. We ended up with the MOST cutest baby pictures ever! I uploaded the rest on Photobucket.

Cole really gets a kick out of the sling Willy carries him in as well as all of the bundling we do of him. He fell asleep like that because I imagine he felt like he was in a pillow. He was wearing his clothes, a jacket with a hood, his Yellowstone bear hat from Grammy and his cute winter outfit from his other Grammy.

I am also to add that on Thursday, Willy rode his bike to work and home (~30 miles!) in 30 degree weather on Kitty's old blue bike. For all of the time he made fun of the roadies, he would like some spandix bike clothes because he hurt his anus from wearing jeans and work clothes. I am proud of him for not wimping out and making me pick him up at work. There is this one particular hill that I am surprised my old 4-Runner makes it up!

17 mile hilly road bike ride...

Well to work off the Thanksgiving I decided I would go on a road bike ride. There is a 17 mile loop that is one of the harder ones around going from our house on Hill Rd to Seaman's Gulch to Dry Creek to Cartwright to Bogus Basin to home. It is very hilly, especially for an out of shape feller like me. It took about 1.75 hours and I had to walk up the top of two hills on Cartwright because I was spent. I rode Kitty's old blue bike. My excuse was that it wasn't geared for hills it is a Florida bike. I may find a new sprocket or just suck it up. The brakes don't really work even with the new pads I put on so once I got to the top of the small mountains I would put the shades on and hold on for dear life. I must have been doing 45 mph or something. Kinda scary with old dry-rotted tires and no brakes. I found out that if I look any further than about 5 ft in front of me on the road it was super hard to make it to the top of these long hills. Just keep chugging. I hope to do this more and get into good shape.

I Love Autumn

The weather here is amazing! I wish that all of my friends and family could be here with me to enjoy the crisp air and beautiful fall leaves. I took some pictures while Cole and I were walking along the greenbelt.

We are also introducing rice cereal to Cole. So far so good with teaching him to eat off of a spoon. It has been fun. He is also learning how to make new sounds. We took a ton of pictures and videos that are uploaded on photobucket.

We miss you all very much.

Cole's Party

Cole Smiling at Hanna, NICU nurse

Yes, I was one of Cole's people today. He was invited to the St. Al's NICU Graduate Halloween party tonight. Willy couldn't make it because he had to work, so it was just the two of us. I had no idea how social Cole is! He had a smile for everyone, especially for one of our favorite nurses, Hanna. He seemed to reconize her. I was very proud to show him off to the world because everyone (even strangers) said how lucky I was to have such a beautiful baby. He is also such a sweet baby, I adore his temperment. He was so alert looking at everyone. The room was full of people and kids in costumes, bright and very noisy.

I am done bragging now. Oh, one more thing, I was even complememented on my gorgous shoes (remember, mom, the ones that made me cry last year).

There are a few more pics on Photobucket, as well as a movie where I tried to get him to giggle, but I missed it. The video is still cute, though.

In the Foothills with Ally

We promised Ally that we would take her some place this weekend. She was such a good girl that I didn't have the heart to break our promise so I took her for a walk in the foothills. I am glad that I did that because it was relaxing to snap off some pictures. When I made it up the hill I was surprised to see that there was a fire. I needed to get out of the house and I felt so relaxed after our adventure. I really just love all of the color contrasts.

Teething, Already!??

We think that Cole is teething already, either that or he likes to be fussy and eat his hands. I posted some very cute videos that Willy took this afternoon on photobucket. Enjoy!
