Thursday afternoon we went to the Weiser National Oldtime Fiddle Contest
http://www.fiddlecontest.com/
These two girls won the twin fiddle constest. We sat behind the person videoing it. Really cool. There are two parts, the slow waltz and the fast part at the end. Make sure you watch that!
Here's a good sort of documentary about the festival...

Scoping Out Bogus Basin
The four of us drove up to Bogus Basin to scout out some cool camp sites. It was really nice to be outside. In the higher altitudes the air is nice and cool and everywhere you look there are amazing views. Hopefully we will get to go camping this weekend to prepare for Mom's visit. :) I saw some awesome plants up there too. There where red, purple, yellow, and blue flowers of all shapes and sizes.

Happy Birthday Cole and Dad!
For Cole's first birthday, I made him a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. If you are curious, here is the recipe: http://www.wholesomebabyfood.com/tipFirstBDay.htm just scroll down to Baby's First Birthday Cake. Dad and Keith both rolled their eyes and to say the least, Cole didn't seem to like it too much. Here comes the toddler years!
We also took him into Toys R Us for the first time and let him pick out a toy. Willy has been wanting to go there for years.
