Dual sport fun in our backyard!

I finally got my dirt bike street legal. All it took was a tail/brake light, horn, and mirror. I went to the DMV and received my plate and bolted it up. Drove 3 miles down the road to reserve and up over the mountains for about 20 miles and back down 8th street into town. All double track fun stuff. Great maiden voyage!

As you can see my plate is a bit bent, half broke off on the trail so I have to go get a new one tomorrow! Oh well!

Pretty nice view from the top. It was brisk out!

I stopped and talked to a guy near the top who had a truck with something on top and a little honda dirt bike. Turns out he and a buddy just hang glided off the ridge. He leaves the bike at the bottom and drives the gliders up, floats down, drives the dirt bike up to the truck and then goes home! He is also an instructor and said the first lesson is free!!! Uhh oh!!!

Although Boise is in the High Desert, if you go up in the mountains there are actual trees, this proves it! Chilly too!

Nice view of the foothills looking down on Boise.

The path home had more great views. I have sooo much to explore here. Good thing Marisa got me that GPS!

I can't wait until Cole can ride!
